Emailed Payment receipt

In response to customer requests we have introduced an automated payment receipt email when a patient pays for an order online or at the machine (if the patients record on the MedPoint portal includes an email address)


Bug Fixes & background changes

Stop “Duplicate Barcode” email

This email was still sending after notification centre launched. This has been stopped now.

Gmail issue with images of QR coded pins

The QR coded version of pin notification emails were not displaying for patients using Gmail. This has now been fixed.

Login screen improvement

We noticed some patients reported they could not log in but this was due to the user accidentally entering a space before the email address in the username field. We have changed the portal to handle errant spaces before usernames.

Default SMS Provider

When a new business is created by Ops.medpoint.uk  the SMS provider will now default to SMS Works instead of AWS. This is just to simplify the set-up process and avoid AWS being used inadvertently.

URL Shortener

This is a background change to enable future work on an Express Checkout Flow. It means the portal can create shortened unique URLS that will fit within an SMS character limit and will also use the medpoint.uk domain to avoid issue with SMS spam filters.
