What to do if your MedPoint has a Jam
If you think there is a bag jammed in the medpoint either from seeing a jam or hearing what sounds like the motor being jammed then follow the below trouble-shooting steps:
If the jam is in the collector drawer at the front:
- Turn off the medpoint using the RCD switch at the back of the machine (bottom button) - Do not reboot as this could result in damage to the machine.
- At the front of the MedPoint, open the prescription drop-off hatch. The collector drawer can be gently moved upwards to enable you to reach in and remove any items that have become jammed.
- Inspect the above and below the collector box to ensure there are no other items that have fallen from the shelf
- Once the collector drawer is clear of any obstructions, close the prescription drop-off hatch
- Restart the MedPoint by pressing the top button on the RCD switch at the back of the machine
- The machine will reboot and rescan, after which it will return to normal function. If it does not, or it makes any unusual sounds, do not reboot again as this may cause damage to the machine - contact the dupport helpdesk
